MISSION & VISION

Belief: At Wilmington Middle School STEAM Magnet, we believe that all students can learn. We believe students deserve the opportunity to succeed in a safe, clean, and nurturing environment. They also deserve to have access to the best resources available that will enable them to reach their educational and career goals in the 21st century. Mission: At Wilmington Middle School STEAM Magnet, we will provide equal access to the tools necessary to build academic foundations for the ongoing progress of both the learners and the community. We strive to promote pride and respect in our students and among all members of the school community. Vision: Wilmington Middle School STEAM Magnet students shall become independent, self-reliant citizens who can set goals, create opportunities, and empower themselves to change their lives. School Demographic Information: Wilmington Middle School STEAM Magnet is a large school with approximately 1,400 students in grades 6-8. It is located in the heart of the Port of Los Angeles Area. The student population is 93% Hispanic, 1% African-American, and 2% White. Of these students, 13% are English Language Learners (ELL).
